Shedd Aquarium Signs on as Conservation Alliance Partner (pdf)
This month the John G. Shedd Aquarium, a nonprofit institution dedicated to public education and conservation, joined the Conservation Alliance for Seafood Solutions. As a leader in the zoo and aquarium profession for more than 75 years, Shedd Aquarium’s award-winning conservation programs, industry and NGO collaborations, and sustainable seafood awareness program further strengthen the offerings and resources available to businesses through the Conservation Alliance partners.
Ahold USA stores support a “Common Vision” for Sustainable Seafood (pdf)
July 23, 2008 – Ahold USA grocery chains Stop & Shop (Quincy, MA), Giant Food (Landover, MD) and Giant Food Stores (Carlisle, PA) today announced their support of the Conservation Alliance for Seafood Solution’s Common Vision to help keep their selection of seafood sustainable. This support, along with their continuing partnership with the New England Aquarium, demonstrates their commitment to offer seafood from environmentally-friendly sources.

Groups Release Ambitious, Realistic Vision for Ensuring a Long-Term Seafood Supply
(Washington, D.C.) – More than a dozen Canadian and U.S. organizations today released steps companies can take to develop and implement a comprehensive, corporate policy on sustainable, wild-caught and farmed seafood. The “Common Vision for Environmentally Sustainable Seafood” highlights a clear path for achieving sustainability in the seafood industry.
